If you've spent any time in the Pacific Northwest food scene, chances are you've encountered work from Food Court Creative, whether you realized it or not. The Seattle-based agency has become known for helping food and beverage brands stand out in crowded markets through strategic branding, packaging, campaigns, and content that balances creativity with business results.

Leading the agency is founder and Creative Director Aaron Feiger, who brings an uncommon perspective to the table. In addition to running Food Court Creative, he also owns Pinball Cider, a hard cider company whose products are distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest. That dual role means he's experienced both sides of the creative process: building brands for clients while navigating the realities of growing one himself.

Building Brands from Both Sides of the Table

For Aaron, specializing in food and beverage wasn't accidental.

After working across industries including technology, apparel, and consumer packaged goods, he launched Food Court Creative with a clear vision: focus on one industry and become exceptional at it.

"Food connects people," Aaron says. "It connects us to each other, to farmers, and to the places our food comes from."

That passion is paired with an appreciation for the challenge. Food and beverage is one of the most competitive consumer categories, requiring brands to work even harder to capture attention and earn loyalty.

Today, Food Court Creative partners with everyone from startups to nationally recognized brands, providing services that span branding, packaging design, launch campaigns, direct-to-consumer strategy, and AI-powered content production. The agency collaborates with a network of creative specialists across the country to produce work that's rooted in strategy and designed to drive measurable growth.

The Agency Advantage: Running a Brand Yourself

What truly separates Food Court Creative from many agencies is that Aaron isn't just advising food brands: he's actively building one.

Building Pinball Cider has given him a perspective that extends well beyond branding and creative strategy. Being responsible for the day-to-day realities of growing a beverage business has fundamentally changed the questions he brings to client work.

Rather than focusing solely on beautiful design, Food Court Creative develops creative solutions that solve real business problems. It's an approach informed by understanding what clients face every day.

Award-Winning Creative

It's already been a standout year for the agency.

Food Court Creative recently earned two Gold Cascadia Creative Awards for campaigns with Maruchan Ramen and Van Holten's Pickles.

For Maruchan, the team created a series of shopper marketing videos that refreshed the brand's visual identity with playful, engaging storytelling.

"My ramen game has never been the same," Aaron jokes.

The agency has also continued its partnership with Van Holten's Pickles, developing packaging design and launch campaigns. Their collaborations with brands like Warheads and Chamoy give the creative team permission to embrace the unexpected.

"It's always a good time when clients let us get a little weird."

Using AI Thoughtfully

Like many creatives, Aaron is excited by the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, but not because it's the latest trend.

"What excites me isn't AI for AI's sake," he says. "It's finding thoughtful ways to blend it with traditional production to create work that simply wasn't possible a few years ago."

For Food Court Creative, AI isn't a replacement for creative thinking. Instead, it's another tool that expands what's possible while preserving the human element behind great storytelling.

Growing with Intention

As Food Court Creative continues to grow, Aaron is focused less on becoming the biggest agency and more on becoming the most trusted creative partner for food and beverage brands.

The team is always looking to collaborate with exceptional designers, photographers, food stylists, motion artists, videographers, and other creative specialists, but growth remains intentional.

"We'd rather become the first call food and beverage brands make when they need creative that actually grows their business."

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Aaron spends much of his time with his wife and two children, making the most of everything the Pacific Northwest offers, from paddleboarding during the summer to snowboarding in the winter.

He also has another passion: portable electronic music gear.

Whenever he finds a spare hour, you'll likely find him experimenting with synthesizers, turning knobs, pushing buttons, and creating sounds that, as he puts it, "sometimes qualify as music."

Long before Food Court Creative or Pinball Cider, Aaron also spent nearly a decade running a T-shirt brand called Popjunkie Design, which unexpectedly developed a dedicated following in Japan. Eventually, his love of graphic tees evolved into an even stronger passion for craft cider.

Finding Community Through NextNW

Aaron joined NextNW looking for something many entrepreneurs eventually realize they need: community.

"Running a business can be lonely at the top," he says. "I wanted to surround myself with people who are building interesting things, too."

Since joining, it's been the people who have made the biggest impact.

"You never know who's going to spark an idea, make an introduction, or become a future collaborator."

For anyone considering membership, Aaron offers simple advice:

"Show up. Meet people. Ask questions. Share what you know. The value comes from being an active part of the community, not just collecting business cards."
